Getting to know residents and staff is a great way to help people settle into life in a care home. Making new friends is one of the many benefits of living in a care home and finding out about shared interests can help staff introduce residents to each other who have common interests and will get along well.
Muriel moved to Tallington Lodge earlier this year and loves living close to her son who can visit regularly. She's always loved to go out to work and enjoyed dancing in her spare time.
As a child, Muriel's favourite place to visit was the seaside resort of Walton-on-the-Naze in Essex. She would love to visit Sydney or Melbourne as one of her sons and daughter lives there. We asked Muriel what she is most proud of and she said "my family".
Funny, happy and jolly.
"The staff are all wonderful and I especially enjoy fish and chip Fridays!".
