Six Weeks for the Price of Four

Our respite care offer will give you a six-week respite stay for the price of four weeks. Our offer applies only to the first respite stay you book and is payable in advance. Subject to availability.

Respite care offers carers a break while ensuring loved ones are cared for in a safe environment. During their stay, your loved one will receive comprehensive support with daily tasks like dressing, bathing, and toileting. They’ll also enjoy engaging in activities tailored to their interests, such as art, gardening, pet therapy, or day trips.

What to expect

Your room is your space for the duration of your stay with us. You will have your own en-suite walk-in shower room with carers on hand twenty-four hours a day to support your personal care needs.

Dignity and privacy are respected at all times, with carers respecting preferences for entering people’s rooms. Around our homes, you'll find quiet sitting areas and welcoming lounges, where you can relax in private or socialise with friends and family.

For those living with dementia, there are thoughtful touches throughout; themed areas provide points of familiarity to aid movement around the home, provide talking points and create a calming atmosphere.

The Benefits of Respite Care

Caring for an older friend or relative is an act of love, but it can also be exhausting. Respite care, allows family carers to recharge. Whether it's taking a holiday, focusing on your health, or handling personal responsibilities, respite care ensures your loved one is in a safe and supportive environment while you take the break you need.

Respite care is a great way to explore long-term care options. A short stay allows families to assess how their loved one adjusts to the environment and compare different care homes before making a decision.

Recovery After a Hospital Stay

After a fall or illness requiring a hospital visit, older adults may need extra time to recover before returning home. Respite care provides a short-term solution, allowing for additional time to convalesce in a secure and nurturing setting. This step helps smooth the transition from hospital to home.

In residential care settings, our care teams work closely with local community-based healthcare professionals such as District Nurses, physiotherapists or Occupational therapists to ensure people's ongoing care needs are met.

Building Social Connections

Respite care offers older adults a chance to socialise and form meaningful friendships, combating feelings of isolation. These connections often last beyond the stay, with opportunities to stay in touch and meet up after leaving care.

Visitors are welcome at our care homes at any time and many people who have stayed with us for a respite stay enjoy returning for our weekly coffee mornings and other events.
