Our 62 bedrooms at Ruckland Court Care Home are spacious, airy and comfortable. Rooms are en-suite with a kitchenette & have been designed to meet both the healthcare and privacy needs of our residents, while also encouraging independent living.
Our lounge and dining areas are comfortable and tastefully furnished, making you feel instantly at home and relaxed. Our light and airy dining room is clean and bright, with tables set ready to give residents a dignified and comfortable dining experience.
The Coffee Club is a lovely place for our residents to entertain family and friends, with fresh cakes & hot drinks on the menu every day there is always a good reason to visit.
Our residents love a trip to the salon to see the hairdresser or barber so set and blow dry is a weekly highlight - a fresh haircut is so good for well-being. Our inhouse salon features a beauty bar with nail painting - and makeup for special occasions.
Our residents love their regular movie nights and look forward to enjoying their favourite movies in style. We’ve always got a great variety of films to choose from and often take requests.
Our in-house pubs are one of our most popular facilities. Whether it’s a half-pint of bitter, orange juice or a glass of wine, an hour in The Dambusters Arms is a real social occasion.
We love getting out into our garden at Ruckland Court and are lucky enough to have a secure and accessible space for our residents to make their own. Our residents enjoy taking part in the annual Country Court in Bloom competition, getting quite competitive with their hanging baskets, planters and vegetables.
Adam is our Home Manager at Ruckland Court and is passionate about caring for older people. Adam has worked at Ruckland Court since 2018 in various roles and was promoted from Deputy Manager to Home Manager in 2022. He knows our residents and their families well and is dedicated to providing the highest standards of person centred care.
Michelle has worked at Ruckland Court since 2016. Progressing to the role of Client Services Manager after being in the role of Head Housekeeper. Michelle is passionate about recognising the little things that matter to people and doing her best to ensure our residents lead fulfilled lives.
Denise has been a Care Assistant at Ruckland Court Care Home since 2012. As part of our care team she is responsible for providing five star care for our residents. She was recognised with a Country Court Care Hero award for putting residents at the heart of everything she does. Denise is passionate about dementia care and will always show compassion and put others before herself.
Melissa is our home administrator at Ruckland Court. She has worked here since 2019, previously working in hospitality management. Melissa’s grandmother moved into Ruckland Court, and she was impressed so decided to apply for the role when it became available. She enjoys the homely and welcoming atmosphere and loves to support our home and get to know our residents and their families.
Sharon Robinson has been a carer, assisting with activities and now progressed to Deputy Manager at Ruckland Court Care Home. She has been a member of the team for over 20 years. To obtain a better understanding of her job she became the Dementia Champion for Ruckland Court. Sharon enjoys supporting our residents and their families, helping them to understand dementia better.
Sharon has been at Ruckland Court for almost two years. She started as a care assistant, then senior care assistant and now as deputy manager. Before joining the team, Sharon worked in retail for 20 years, but after taking care of her father, she took the leap into caring as she felt she could make a difference to the lives of others. She loves getting to know our residents and their families.
