Our dining rooms are clean, bright and inviting, residents are encouraged to take their meals in the shared dining areas in the company of their friends. Tables are set ready for each meal, just as you would expect in a restaurant and front of house staff are on hand to serve and assist with meals as required.
For more formal or special occasions, families can take advantage of our private dining room. The dining room is your space for the day to relax and enjoy time with family and friends, as you would at home. Our chef and hospitality team are at your disposal, providing a bespoke menu to make birthdays and anniversaries truly special and memorable occasions - just ask us what we can do.
Serving hot and cold beverages, and delicious cakes and bakes available around the clock, the Bamboo Bar is a relaxing retreat inside our home. Residents can host coffee mornings amongst their friendship groups, and invite groups from the local community to join them. The Bamboo Bar is a great meeting point within our home.
Our lounge areas are tastefully decorated with attention to detail in the design and layout that makes you feel instantly at home. Residents can settle in their favourite chair or join their friends on the sofa for a chat over a cup of tea. Families and visitors are welcome to join residents in the lounge, residents can take part in group activities or just enjoy quietly reading or watching TV.
Our in-home pubs are one of our most popular facilities. Whether it's a half-pint of bitter, orange juice or a glass of wine, an hour in The Old Coach House is a real social occasion. Our pub is a place for our residents to enjoy life, to be able to relax and share good times with friends, as they always have done.
Residents will love a trip to the Elegance salon to see the hairdresser or barber, maintaining one of life's routines is so good for well-being. For many residents, a set and blow-dry is part of their weekly calendar, our beauty bar features a nail painting area and make-up for special occasions.
Movie night is a weekly highlight at Hermitage House. Whether it's a classic or recent feature film, our residents choose the films and settle down with popcorn and drinks to enjoy their favourite movie. Our quiet lounge has been designed for the comfort of all residents to ensure those with sight and hearing difficulties can enjoy the experience too.
Jess Grayson is our Customer Relations Manager at Hermitage House Care Home. Jess will be the first point of contact for new care enquiries to ensure a smooth transition is created for families moving into a care home setting. She is excited to plan events that bring joy to residents at the home and to support the Thrapston community however she can.
Jolene is a dedicated and passionate manager, she has worked in the care sector for over ten years, starting as a care assistant and progressing to Home Manager. She is passionate about caring for the elderly and believes in delivering the best person-centred care. She loves to hear about the individual memories and experiences of her residents, and to give them the high quality care they deserve.
