Ferrars Hall is a purpose-built care home in the heart of Huntingdon. Our home is fully equipped to provide our residents with the very best care and support in a luxurious and comfortable environment. Our spacious lounges, cinema, café and hair salon provide opportunities for people to lead a full and active social life.
Our 66 bedrooms at Ferrars Hall Care Home are bright, light and comfortable. Generous in size, there is plenty of scope for people to personalise their rooms with personal belongings. Residents can choose a ground floor room that opens out into the garden or a room on the first floor that overlooks the gardens. Whatever the preference, all rooms come with private en-suite, walk-in shower rooms.
For more formal or special occasions, families can take advantage of our private dining room. The dining room will be your space for the day to relax and enjoy time with family and friends, as you would at home. Our chef and hospitality team will be at your disposal, providing a bespoke menu to make birthdays and anniversaries truly special and memorable occasions - just ask us what we can do.
Our residents love a trip to the salon to see the hairdresser or barber, and it’s so good for well-being by helping to maintain one of life's routines. For many of our residents, a set and blow-dry is part of their weekly calendar, and our in-house salons feature a beauty bar with nail painting as well as makeup for special occasions.
Our communal areas are tastefully furnished, with attention to detail in the design and layout to make you feel instantly at home and relaxed. Residents can settle into their favourite chair or join their friends on the sofa for a chat over a cup of tea, just as they would at home. Our dining areas and clean tables are set with all the extra touches to make mealtimes a proper dining experience.
Our well-tended garden boasts an aviary which is very popular with residents, giving a great incentive to spend time in the fresh air, close to nature. For those who enjoy gardening, there are plenty of opportunities to get stuck in – whether this is planting vegetables, making hanging baskets or lending a hand with planting and watering in easily accessible raised beds.
Movie night is a weekly highlight at Ferrars Hall. We screen classics and current feature films, and we’re always fielding requests from our residents. Our cinema rooms are specially designed for the comfort of all residents, to ensure those with sight and hearing difficulties can enjoy the full cinema experience too.
Serving hot and cold beverages, and delicious cakes with snacks available around the clock, our cafes are a popular place at Ferrars Hall. Residents often host regular coffee mornings amongst their friendship groups, just as you would arrange to meet up with any of your friends at your favourite spot.
