Residents and staff at The Laurels Care Home in Draycott are celebrating after receiving their latest CQC Report; rating them ‘Good’ in all areas. The Laurels Care Home is ‘Led by kindness, compassion and dignity’ providing residential and specialist dementia care for up to 21 residents.
Throughout the CQC inspection people, healthcare professionals and relatives expressed how happy they were with the staff at The Laurels Care Home and how they ‘supported them and or their family members.’ Inspectors were also told by people that, "‘People received person-centered care and support by caring staff who knew them well.” and “There were systems in place to monitor the quality and safety of the service." which demonstrates the staff’s efforts to make every resident comfortable, safe, happy and welcome. Inspectors also found that ‘The staff really understand people's individual needs. Nothing is too much trouble’ through relatives who were extremely happy with the care the home provides. The Laurels Care Home also continues to demonstrate good communication and involvement with their families by providing questionnaires and chances for loved ones to leave feedback, one relative commented ‘"The staff are phenomenal, they always keep me informed. There has never been any cause for concern."
The Home manager, Becky Green, was also highlighted in the latest report as a person people feel they can easily approach. One person told the inspectors, "The registered manager is professional, fair, approachable, and supportive." Showing Becky is always there to support staff, residents and their families.
The publication of the report reflects the continuous great effort from staff and managers and they are now delighted to be rated ‘Good’ across all the CQC categories of Safe, Effective, Caring, Responsive and Well-led.
