August 2024; Swanholme Court Care Home along with its sister Care and Nursing Home, Eccleshare Court near Lincoln, hosted a fabulous summer garden party that was enjoyed by residents, families and the local community. The event featured live entertainment, stalls, food and refreshments, with the event being held in the Swanholme Court garden and extended out into their car park to create more space for everyone.
The Wellbeing Coordinator from Swanholme Court, Bethany, shared: “Our garden party went down very well, the sun shone for us, and it was very busy with lots of friends and families attending. We had Dawn and Jane hold a stall, raising much-needed awareness for the breast cancer awareness campaign charity. It was wonderful to see so many happy faces and see all the residents and families come together from both homes.”
The live entertainers put on some fantastic music, getting feet tapping and residents and family members up and dancing, then when they felt hungry Chef Manager, Noel De Castro Claveria and his wonderful kitchen team were busy with the barbecue to feed everyone when they had an appetite after all the dancing. Noel and his team have recently been awarded a 5-star Food hygiene rating, which is a well-deserved recognition for them too.
Home Manager, Lisa Dent, commented, “We would like to say a very big thank you to all the staff, residents and their families who made this such a huge success. In total, we managed to raise a whooping £480 which will be shared to the residents’ comfort funds for both homes going towards future activities and trips out.”
