Carpenders Park Care Home in Watford recently hosted a lively Wellbeing Hub event, bringing together residents, families, and the local community. The event featured various local support and wellness groups, all focused on enhancing health and wellbeing in the community.
Interim Home Manager Julie Wicks shared her appreciation for the collaborative effort:
“We were thrilled to welcome an incredible range of community groups including Macmillan Cancer Support, Three Rivers District Council, Hear Clean By Hinal, Focus Eye Care, Dementia UK, Hertfordshire Constabulary, The Foot Practitioner, Beauty Care By Neha, Age Care Advice, and Barnet Wills. Their support made the day truly memorable.”
The event highlighted timely topics like scam awareness. Three Rivers Council Representative Jay commented:
“It’s been rewarding to connect with the community and raise awareness about issues like scams, which are particularly relevant at this time of year. Events like this help ensure people have the knowledge to protect themselves.”
Ross from the Three Rivers Neighbourhood Policing Team emphasised the importance of ongoing community engagement:
“Myself, Chris, Marcus, and Andrew have all enjoyed meeting local residents and networking with other organisations. By participating in events like these, we can strengthen ties and support the many aspects of our community.”
