Recently, Lakeview Lodge Care Home near Milton Keynes received a generous donation from GXO, a leading company in logistics solutions. This donation came after the care home won a competition, nominated by Lee Winkworth, the son of the late resident Ann Winkworth.
‘We would like to thank the team at GXO for their outstanding contribution towards our resident's activities fund. Lee Winkworth very kindly nominated Lakeview Lodge for the competition after we cared for his late Mum Ann Winkworth. We were delighted to be told Lakeview Lodge had won. The prize money has enabled us to purchase the interactive rainbow table providing additional stimulation for our residents, especially those living with dementia.' Commented Home Manager Maria Nelson-Addy.
‘The rainbow table is a large interactive digital screen which is portable and suitable for all abilities. The major benefit of the table has been for our residents who are cared for in their bedrooms, as the equipment is fully portable, they are able use it too.’ Commented Wellbeing Coordinator Georgia Morrison.
‘The thing I have loved most about the rainbow table has been the quizzes we can play. They are great fun. We’ve even used the table with the little ones from Thrift Farm Nursery who love it just as much as we do.’ Commented resident at Lakeview Lodge.
‘My Digital Rainbow LTD creates Interactive Activity Touch Tables for Care & Education. The tables are suitable for all ages and capabilities. The table facilitates intergenerational bonding through games, puzzles, and activities that cater to diverse interests and skill levels.’ Commented My Digital Rainbow LTD.
‘Our residents love using the table, especially playing games like catchphrase and other sensory-featured apps. Everyone’s experience so far has been wonderful, and we have been amazed at the modern technology we can now introduce into our wellbeing program at Lakeview Lodge.’ Commented Wellbeing Coordinator Fiona Bolton.
