Lyncroft Care Home provides family-led residential and dementia care in a luxury setting and is known for its warm family atmosphere, led by its person-centred approach to care with staff getting to know each resident individually meaning that each person receives an experience unique to them. For the more independent residents, there is an enrichment and activities programme that provides variety, social stimulation, and enjoyment, while for those living with dementia, there are tailored activities that bring out the best in everyday life.
The staff team at Lyncroft Care Home regularly involve residents in local community life and events in and around Wisbech. They regularly attend coffee mornings and invite groups to come into the home, they host informative talks for the residents and families and host events for local community groups. They understand how important the connection is between the home and the wider community and strive to support them in any way they can. They are also involved with the Wisbech Rose Fair on the 29th of June, where they are planning to have the biggest yarn bomb during the event, they have been working hard to get as many knitted and crocheted flowers and items as possible and some of the residents have been involved in unpacking the deliveries, knitting and attaching the items. It has brought people together with support from far and wide, making the yarn bomb even more incredible.
One reviewer, the sister-in-law of a resident posted “The care, attention and love that has been given to our family member has been without fault. We are so pleased that we were given a place at Lyncroft we could not be more pleased. We feel this is just like home and know that she is in excellent hands. Thank you so much.”
Another reviewer, the son of a resident said, “My mother was in the care of Lyncroft for three and a half years. She was always happy with her standard of care and for that, we are eternally grateful. The fact that she was confined to bed for most of that time and never suffered from bed sores is a testament to how well she was cared for. All staff members were attentive to her needs. I was well informed of any medical or personal requirements.”
