Residents at Neale Court Care Home in Lincoln were recently treated to a fantastic afternoon when they were visited by ‘Parrots and Pirates Ltd ’at their Home. This was organised by the wellbeing coordinator Chris who has been busy arranging lots of activities for the residents.
They were visited by three stunning macaws, a red and green winged macaw and two blue and gold macaws who came to say hello to the residents and staff members and entertain them.
It gave them the opportunity to get close to the parrots and they were able to stroke, hold and feed the beautiful birds too as well as giving lots of photo opportunities to remind them of the day. It was also an educational visit as they got to learn lots of facts about parrots and they could watch them spread their wings as they were treated to a fly pass.
Christine said “What fabulous birds and a fabulous day, it really did make everyone smile. The residents will be talking about this for some time to come.”
It would certainly seem that it was a wonderful afternoon, making memories for the residents and staff at Neale Court Care Home.
