Staff and residents at Oakview Care and Nursing Home in Welwyn Garden City celebrated the homes’ 5-year anniversary with a wonderful afternoon tea. Everyone enjoyed a delicious buffet spread made by Chef manger Anthony Whitfield and his team, listened to music from the 60’s/70s/80’s and danced the afternoon away.
Chef manager Anthony prepared beautiful 5-year cupcakes and a wonderful 5-year milestone cake which one of Oakview’s very first residents, Dorothy, had the honour of cutting. Dorothy commented ‘I have had so much fun since moving into Oakview Lodge Care Home. I only came to look around and ended up staying. It’s the only place I see myself now, I have an extended family.’
Home manager Teresa Torres said she is proud to see how far the home has come from the very beginning and can’t wait to see what the future holds for Oakview.
