Our Lostock Lodge Care Home in Northwich, Cheshire, enjoyed a wonderful afternoon of singing with their local Paint Pots Nursery. The session encouraged the two generations to meet and share their love of music. The children sang a range of songs for the residents including, "You are my sunshine”, a favourite amongst the residents.
Emma Proudman, Acting Nursery Deputy Manager from Paint Pots Nursery, commented.
“We had a lovely time visiting Lostock Lodge. The children and staff thoroughly enjoyed the experience. When we arrived back at the nursery, the children were very excited to speak to their parents about their visit.
The children said, “We made the ladies and men very happy.” “I liked the lady dancing with us” “I think they liked us singing”.
Steph Molden, Home Manager at Lostock Lodge, said.
“It was fantastic to welcome our local nursery today. The energy shifted as soon as the children entered the room, and our resident's faces lit up. They thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience and had fun singing and clapping along. We hope to welcome the children back soon."
