Summer Lane Care & Nursing Home in Weston Super Mare recently hosted a fabulous Garden Party that was enjoyed by all the residents and their families. The event featured live entertainment freshly made cakes, food, and refreshments. ‘There was so much love, laughter, and enjoyment throughout the Garden Party it was lovely to see’. Commented residents’ family members.
‘Our Garden Party went down very well, the sun shone, and it was very well attended. We had Steve East sing for our residents on the lower ground, performing a good set of classics from the 50s, 60s, 70s, and 80s. Meanwhile, the Trinity Entertainers performed for all our residents upstairs. The group sings for charity and twelve members came along to perform. The local Masonic Lodge generously offered to pay for the entertainment at the event as they have a connection to one of our resident’s husbands. This gesture was hugely appreciated by everyone.’ commented Home Administrator Lin O’Donovan
“Our afternoon tea was put together by Chef Manager David McCartney and his wonderful kitchen team who received lots of lovely feedback from all our families who joined their loved ones on the day. As always, it was very tasty and beautifully presented. Overall, it was wonderful to see so many happy faces and lasting memories created amongst families and their loved ones.” Commented Home Manager Vimal Samuel.
Well-Being Coordinator Jane Day commented “Residents and their families enjoyed a good boogie and sing-along at the Garden Party. The entertainment was a great way for residents to be transported through the years by hearing songs from their youth. They enjoyed reminiscing with their family members about what they were doing at the time. It’s heartwarming to be a part of such a loving care home”.
‘We always strive to create the best memories and moments for our residents. We want every day to be filled with enjoyment and happiness’ Commented Home Manager Vimal Samuel.
