Moat House Care Home in Great Easton welcomed the festive season with a magical Christmas Fair, bringing residents, families, and the local community together for an afternoon of festive fun and cheer. The event, which raised £100 for the Residents’ Comfort Fund, created an atmosphere full of joy, community connections, and delicious food.
"Our Christmas Fair featured a variety of attractions, including a delightful Santa’s Grotto where visitors could meet Mr. and Mrs. Claus and receive a special gift. Guests enjoyed browsing arts and crafts stalls, including handmade items sold by a resident’s family member and “Handmade by Amelia,” as well as indulging in festive drinks and food. We also hosted a lively tombola which added to the excitement, while festive singing brought everyone together in celebration.’ Commented Customer Relations Manager George Byford.
“The Santa’s Grotto was a particular highlight, with Santa walking around the home, meeting everyone, and spreading Christmas cheer,” said Home Manager Jade Smith. “The carol singing was also a hit, with residents, guests, and staff joining in to create a truly magical atmosphere.”
Guests and residents alike shared their appreciation for the event commenting ‘This has been a truly wonderful afternoon, and it has got me in the festive mood ready for Christmas’.
‘The wonderful sum of £100 that we raised will go toward the Residents’ Comfort Fund for them to enjoy an extra special activity in the new year.’ Commented Wellbeing Coordinator Kerry Pennock.
“We’re thrilled with the success of this year’s Christmas Fair,” added commented Customer Relations Manager George Byford. “It’s always wonderful to see the joy on everyone’s faces and to create such a warm, festive atmosphere here at Moat House.”
