Residents and staff at Ferrars Hall Care Home are celebrating after receiving their latest CQC Report; rating them ‘Good’ in all areas. Ferrars Hall Care Home is ‘Led by kindness, compassion and dignity’ providing residential and specialist dementia care for up to 66 residents in Huntingdon.
Throughout the CQC inspection people and relatives expressed how happy they were with the staff at Ferrars Hall Care Home and how they ‘supported them and or their family member.’ Inspectors were also told by people that, "The food choices are good, and it's always served nice and hot," which demonstrates the staff’s efforts to make every resident comfortable, happy and welcome. Inspectors also found that staff were well equipped at the home to notice ‘poor care and harm.’ This led to people and their relatives having ‘no concerns around their, or their family members', safety.’ People and relatives also commented that they ‘had no concerns about the quality of care and support provided by staff.’ Showing how well led the team are at Ferrars Hall Care Home.
The Home manager, Susan Dunnell, was also highlighted in the latest report as a person people feel they can easily approach. One person told the inspectors, "I do see the [registered] manager, if I had any problems, I would happily talk to her." Showing Susan is always there to support both staff, residents and families.
The publication of the report reflects the continuous great effort from staff and managers and they are now delighted to be rated ‘Good’ across all the CQC categories of Safe, Effective, Caring, Responsive and Well-led.
