Chef Juliana Arouna has been selected as a finalist for a prestigious Care Home Chef award at the regional 2020 Great British Care Awards. Juliana has been the Chef Manager at Woodlands House Care & Nursing Home in Colliers Wood since 2019 and has been nominated for her high standards and attention to detail. The Great British Care Awards are a series of regional events throughout the UK and are a celebration of excellence across the care sector. The purpose of the awards is to pay tribute to those individuals who have demonstrated outstanding excellence within their field of work.
“We are delighted that Juliana has been selected as a finalist for a GB Care Award in the London Region,” said Anwar Kajee Head of Hospitality at Country Court. “Woodlands House joined the Country Court group in April 2019, Juliana has shown great dedication and commitment in bringing the catering at Woodlands House up to the five-star standards that we deliver at Country Court”.
Juliana began her career as Chef in 2003 and was promoted to Chef Manager in 2009 where she developed a keen interest in healthcare nutrition. Juliana is passionate about good wholesome cooking and making sure each one of her residents’ likes are met along with their dietary needs. She is always keen to get feedback from residents directly and will often chat with residents in the dining room after meals to get feedback.
The winners of the London Region Great British Care Awards will be announced at an awards ceremony in July 2021 at The Hilton Bankside Hotel in London. Country Court wishes Juliana and the rest of the nominees the very best of luck.
