Residents and staff at Carter House Care and Nursing Home in Raynes Park bid a fond farewell to Home Manager Hilma Dunn as she left to begin her retirement. Hilma, 72, has worked at Carter House for thirty-five years, starting her career as a RGN Nurse and later becoming Home Manager at the forty-six-bed care home.
“I will miss all of my staff team, they are like family to me, and many have worked here as long as I have,” said Hilma. “Of course, I’ll miss the residents too, it’s been a real privilege to meet and care for so many wonderful people over the years”. Said Hilma. A keen gardener, Hilma is looking forward to spending more time in her garden during her retirement.
Staff at the Raynes Park Care and Nursing Home held a farewell party, attended by residents, families and local health care professionals who worked with Hilma over the years. Local Mayor Cllr Michael Brunt presented Hilma with a gift and thanked for her services to the Borough of Merton. Alykhan Kachra Co-CEO of Country Court, who also presented Hilma with gifts on behalf of the company, said “We will all miss Hilma, especially the staff and residents at Carter House. We would like to thank her for her many years of dedicated service. She has been an exceptional manager and a real inspiration to her staff team”.
Carter House Care & Nursing Home was previously run by Central & Cecil Housing Trust, the care and nursing home is now operated by Country Court and has recently been refurbished and updated.
