Baycroft Flitwick Care Home near Ampthill recently held a Vintage Car Show, bringing excitement, nostalgia, and joy to residents, their families, and members of the local community. The event featured a stunning collection of classic cars, including a Daimler, Rolls Royce, Austin, Jaguar, two Citroëns, a Ford Popular, two Bedford Vans, a Dennis Fire Engine, a Lotus, an Austin Mini, a Triumph, and a McLaren.
‘Residents were delighted to see these beautifully maintained classic vehicles, sparking memories and meaningful conversations. Resident Denis, a former firefighter, was thrilled to see the Dennis Fire Engine and enjoyed reminiscing with the owner about his time in service. Resident Ralph also had a special moment when his nephew brought along a Citroën, and another Citroën owner added to the fun by bringing a remote-controlled replica for him to try out.' The event welcomed car owners, residents’ relatives, and members of the local community, creating a lively and engaging atmosphere. Guests and residents alike admired the vehicles and appreciated the chance to hear the fascinating stories behind them.

At the same time, residents Pat and Jean thoroughly enjoyed sitting in one of the vintage cars, joking that they were plotting their grand escape.
