Residents and staff at Baycroft Flitwick Care Home, near Ampthill, recently hosted a Family Fun Day for the local community to celebrate a new chapter under the ownership of the award-winning parent company, Country Court. The Mayor of Ampthill joined the celebration to officially cut the ribbon and open the care home’s exciting new phase.
The event was filled with a range of games and activities including a tombola, hook-a-duck and a human fruit machine. Members from the local community also held craft displays and donated a range of exciting prizes towards a raffle, with the winner taking home a hot air balloon ride for two.
Wellbeing Coordinator Lead Bernie Hoo-Hing commented.
“Our residents particularly enjoyed the entertainment, resident Alan enjoyed playing the organ alongside guest singer Bob Jack. Our resident Graham also commented on the music and enjoyed singing along to a few numbers.”
Home Manager Corina Ashby also commented on the events success.
“We want to thank everyone who contributed to making this event a success. In total we raised over £1600 which will go towards purchasing an interactive table that will significantly benefit our residents at Baycroft Flitwick Care Home.”
